rand* recieved the Award of Merit in both the Interior and Object categories at the 19th Annual Inform Awards for work done on the Gensler and Volkswagen projects.
rand* brought home three awards from this year’s Northern Virginia NAIOP Awards, winning an award for best interiors in every size category. Of the three categories, rand collected the award of excellence (the top honor given at the ceremony) for two categories and an award of merit. Our winning projects include:
Best Interiors, Tenant Space 0-14,999 SF Award of Excellence for Greenspun, Davis & Leary, PC submitted by rand* construction corporation. Team members included Trammell Crow and SKB Architecture
Best Interiors, Tenant Space 15,000 to 50,000 SF Award of Excellence for Sands Capital Management submitted by Gensler and rand*. Team members included Sands Capital Management; Monday Properties; Grubb & Ellis Company; and, rand* construction corporation.
Best Interiors, Tenant Space over 50,000 SF Award of Merit for Volkswagen submitted by rand* construction corporation. Team members included Tishman Speyer; Volkswagen Group of America; Jones Lange LaSalle; and VOA Architects.
Linda Rabbitt was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond for 2011.
The Federal Reserve Board of Governors appointed Linda Rabbitt, founder and CEO of rand*, to the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond’s Class C Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2009. Ms. Rabbitt will serve a three-year term. Class C directors will represent the public and are chosen with due consideration to the interests of agriculture, commerce, industry, services, labor and consumers. Read more...
Design Leadership Council recognized Howard Chapman, director of project management at rand*, as a member of the “dream team” for Design Excellence at the NeoCon East Conference in Baltimore. The Design Leadership Council is a group of principals from top interior design and interior architecture firms in the Washington area. Each year they identify individuals who, through their ongoing efforts and professionalism, define design excellence.
