Ms. Rabbitt founded this commercial construction company specializing in building renovations and tenant build-outs in July of 1989. As owner and chief executive officer, Ms. Rabbitt is responsible for overall company affairs including client service, business planning, and operational procedures. rand* construction corporation is ranked the 5th largest interior construction company and 15th largest construction company in the Washington Metropolitan area, 2010 as well as the 38th largest woman-owned company in the nation, 2007. Recently, Ms. Rabbitt received a Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding contributions and career achievements in the construction industry by the Professional Women in Construction DC Chapter, and in 2008, was inducted into the Washington Business Hall of Fame for her outstanding leadership and significant contributions to the quality of life in the National Capital Area.
Ms. Rabbitt holds a Master of Arts degree from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan. Prior to founding Rand Construction Corporation, Ms. Rabbitt was the co-founder and co-owner of Washington's first 100% woman-owned commercial tenant construction company, Hart Construction Company, Inc., founded in 1985. As executive vice president, Ms. Rabbitt’s responsibilities included field operations and overall business affairs including client development and operations/staff development. Hart Construction was ranked 23rd largest woman-owned business in Washington in 1988. She has two daughters, Ashleigh and Lauren. Ms. Rabbitt and her husband, John Whalen, reside in Bethesda, Maryland.

As President of Rand Construction Corporation, Mr. Couch is responsible for overseeing Pre-Construction and the project management teams, nurturing long-standing client relationships and fostering relationships with new clients. Mr. Couch specializes in the comprehensive project management of fast track/tenant renovations and build-outs. He maintains an excellent reputation with subcontractors to ensure timely and successful completion of every project. Mr. Couch has eighteen years experience in the construction industry and holds a BBA degree in Finance from George Washington University.
